RULES & FAQ'S

Please take a moment to read through a few of our rules and see our Frequently Asked Questions below. Please remember our rules are in place for the safety of both you and your dog, as well as to be mindful of other customers and our equipment.

  • Dogs may never be left unattended. Dogs must be fully secured in the tub at all times using the restraints provided. The gates to the wash room must be kept closed at all times.
  • Dog wash tubs and stairs are for dogs only. Humans are not permitted on the stairs or in the wash tubs.
  • For your safety and theirs, dogs must be washed and dried in the bath tub, not on the floor of the wash room.
  • Please place all used towels in the appropriate towel hamper.
  • Washing the dog can be a fun family activity. However, for everyone's safety, children 16 years old and younger must be attended by and under the supervision of a parent or responsible adult.
  • WE ARE A FLEA FREE ZONE. Please do not bring your dog to be bathed if there is ANY possibility your dog may have fleas.
  • SKUNK POLICY: If your dog has had an unfortunate run-in with a skunk, we'd love to help however we DO NOT allow skunked dogs to use our tubs. Please call us for specific de-skunking instructions - we have proven products and strategies to help you get rid of the smell.
  • Aggressive, disruptive, or frightened dogs may be asked to leave at the discretion of the manager.
  • Please take care of the equipment as though it were your own.
  • Our Shampoos are concentrated, so a little goes a long way on a wet dog!
  • Please do not let large hair clumps go down the drain - instead place excess hair in the wastebaskets provided.
  • Our tubs are not intended to be used as "full groom" stations. Trimming, de-matting, coat treatments, etc. are not permitted in our tubs unless otherwise discussed and approved by a manager.
  • Please limit your session to 30 minutes. The last wash of the day must be concluded 30 minutes prior to closing time. This allows our staff time to clean and prepare the area for the next day's customers. Please plan accordingly.
  • If your dog requires longer than 30 minutes to bathe and blow dry, you will be subject to an upcharge at the manager's discretion. Each additional half hour will be $15.00.
  • How does a self-serve dog wash work?
In a nutshell: we provide the tubs, supplies, and cleanup - you supply the dog and elbow grease! Instead of trying to bathe your dog in your home or in your yard, we make it easy for you to give them a quick cleanup whenever needed without the hassle of having to clean up the mess afterwards or find a secure place. Our tubs are safe, convenient, and easy to use. We supply shampoo, conditioner, brushes, towels, and blow dryers so all you really need to bring is your dog!
  • What kind of Shampoos & Conditioners do you offer at the wash tubs?
We supply high-quality, professional grade Chris Christensen Shampoos & Conditioners. We have a regular formula, as well as a Vanilla & Oatmeal skin soothing formula for our friends with itchy or sensitive skin.
  • Can I bring my own products?
Absolutely! If you have a shampoo/conditioner or other skin product that your dog's skin is used to or requires, bring it along with you.
  • Do you take appointments?
Currently, our self-serve wash tubs are walk in, first come first served only. This is why it is important to adhere to our 30-minute time limit as best you can for the courtesy of other customers. If you are interested in adding a nail trim to your bath, we do ask that you call to schedule that ahead of time as these are available on a limited basis. We can do them on a walk-in basis if there is availability. Appointments are required for our full service washes, available only on Wednesday afternoons.
  • Can I wash two dogs at once?
On a very limited basis, we will allow for two dogs (from the same household) to share a tub if they comfortably fit and can be safely secured in one of our tubs. This will be at the manager's discretion. We do not have a place for you to safely secure a second dog while you bathe one, so we do ask that if you are bringing more than one dog, each dog have its own handler.
  • My dog takes more than 30 minutes to bathe and dry, can I still use your tubs?
While we do understand that many dogs have longer hair or double coats, we do still ask you to stay as close within our 30-minute timeframe as possible. This is for the courtesy of all customers, as we are a walk-in only service and have just three tubs. We have a $5 upcharge policy in place for any dog that is double-coated and requires extra drying or cleanup time and will charge $15 for each full half hour over our original time limit. This will be strictly enforced especially during peak hours and weekends.
  • Do I still need to take my dog to a groomer?
YES! If your dog regularly sees a groomer for coat trimming and maintenance, we absolutely encourage you to continue seeing a professional groomer. We are not a replacement for your groomer, just an enhancement to your dog's regular grooming routine. We are a great "in-between" option for your dog, or whenever they need a little freshening up with a simple bath and blow dry! Double-coated dogs and high maintenance coats (such as doodles) should always be seen on a regular basis by a professional groomer for proper trimming, undercoat removal, and more.
  • Can I bring my dog in to de-skunk him/her?
While we wish we could help, we ask that you do not bring skunked dogs into our tubs. We are happy to still help if we can, so please give us a call for specific de-skunking instructions. We have proven products and strategies to help you get rid of the smell. Once your dog is de-skunked, they are welcome back in! 😁
  • I'm a professional groomer. Can I bring my own supplies and give my dog a full groom?
While we understand our tubs are easy and convenient, they are not intended to be used for a full grooming service on your dog. Our tubs are meant to be an easy and "quick" alternative to bathing your dog in your home, therefore we are set up for bathing, blow drying, and necessary brushing as needed. We try to enforce a 30-minute time limit for each dog for the courtesy of all customers. Trimming, de-matting, coat treatments, etc. are not permitted in our tubs unless otherwise discussed and approved by a manager.
  • Can someone wash my dog for me?
On Wednesday afternoons from 3pm to 5pm, yes! We are now offering a limited full service wash for those who are looking to have someone give their dog a 30-minute bath and blow dry. This is a great option for our elderly customers, or if you have a quick errand to run while your dog is being bathed. Please call to schedule your appointment. This is NOT a professional grooming service, nor should take the place of a regular appointment with a professional groomer. While a regular bath and blow-dry is essential for the health of your dog's skin and coat, we still highly recommend professional groomers for double-coated breeds or dogs with special needs coats, such as doodles. This service only includes a bath, blow-dry, ear-cleaning, and brushing.
